Funky

Idk if this song is supposed to be depressing, but it has a dark groovy feeling that's fun to listen to. The chords and vocals seem to ride against the glitchy drumloop, making it feel whole. Those reverse pianos were a nice touch.

Keep on makin music, bro.

Damn...

This one is pretty bad ass. Reminds me of those car commercials with the industrial music and glitchy effects.

snayk responds:

Thanks a lot. I love seeing a review for this track :D :D :D

Another BOC-esque

Nice one. This track is slightly depressing but relaxing. Again, you've seemed to achieve a BoC feeling with this track. (It's those interesting synths doing chords with drumloops and vocal tracks)

snayk responds:

Gotta love BOC. Thanks man!

Hey

I think this song would work really well as one of the background songs for an RTS i'm attempting to make. Do you mind if i use it? If my game ends up going really well and I decide to put it out there, I'll be sure to credit you.

Btw, got any other songs like this i should check out for my game?

snayk responds:

I have no problem with you using my music in your game unless you are going to be making any money from it. If you are, hit me up via PM and we can work something out. I'll try to PM you soon with some similar songs anyway.

Glad you enjoyed the track so much! Thanks for the review.

Badass

I'm really considering using this in an RTS i'm making for Xbox and PC (with microsoft XNA game studios). It'd be appropriate for when one army is bombing the fuck out of the other. If you don't mind, if I'm using this for my game, i'm going to cut off the beginning up to right after "alright, who wants some?", and add a small brass buildup for the first 2 measures to fit the game. I'm composing most of my game music, but i'm branching out to find other composers to feature as well. This song is probably going in, and you'll be credited.

About the song now... It's nicely equalized, the melody is badass, and the drums are hardcore. I have no complaints.

nice...

It's got the L4D melody in parts, the instrument quality was a bit low, but that vocal part at the end sounded pretty cool though.

Try getting better synths, and I suggest keeping the L4D melody to one or two instruments.

denme responds:

alright thx

Nice work.

This song is pretty chill. It reminds me alot of Boards of Canada, how they use soft synth patches in interesting chords while an industrial sounding drumloop goes on in the background. I'll give this a 5 and a Download.

snayk responds:

Cool man. Thanks for the review, score, and download. Glad you like my stuff. Gotta love a BOC comparison.

Cool

It sounds pretty good. It might sound more drum and bass-y if you boosted the drum volume and put a bass synth in there. Other than that, i'm diggin this. Good work with the orchestral part.

(Lol, the loop fill you used at 1:35 I used in one of my songs.)

Sweet.

I love that bassline.

I suppose you could try and give the percussion a little work, but it's not that important...

(Lol, I wouldn't have noticed anything about the vocals, untill I downloaded VEC...)

Yeah b-boyyyy...

Edirol is the shit. The song is okay, it could use some layering and chorus to make it sound a bit more epic. Keep working on it, even though this song is almost a year old, I just felt like reviewing since you reviewed one of my songs.
