Neat lol

Yeah it does feel like you're lost in some creepy forest at night, I like it. Most newgrounders probably won't though because it isn't another "basshunter" remix or some gay shit like that lol.

AphoticAthanasy responds:

Well said . It's the same concept as that shitty movie Twilight . People don't know what ''true'' is anymore . I really like the way you think, I appreciate your reviews . Thankyou . ^^';

Damn dude...

That's depressing lol. The song sounds pretty much as you've describe it. It's almost surreal, as if it was in some sort of movie or something, where an intense scene is happening, but instead of hardcore music, it's that soft orchestral or ambience tracks.

AphoticAthanasy responds:

Thanks, I worked really hard on this . I rarely ever see money in my life, it would be bliss to be able to win 250$ by speaking through my mind's whispers . I will never give up music, music is my life . :3

Idk what everyone else's problem is

I think these songs are rather interesting. The only thing I think you should do is clean up some of the disharmonic piano notes so it's more soothing to hear.

AphoticAthanasy responds:

Thankyou . Omg, Lol . I knew my songs were fine . I think the submissions got 0 bombed, just now . Sigh, why are people so immature . Humans lol..
Thankyou man, OMFG HEY ITS YOU . I love your industrial music you made back in like 2009 I believe . =D!

Nice

Before I read your comments, I thought the melody sounded familiar. I didn't get TBOGT or Lost and the Dammned because I don't have any microsoft points, but I watched the trailer. GTA is pretty badass.

About the song, It does sound like the original. It's pretty groovy, I just think the EQ could use some work. I also don't think you're an amateur, your Industrial and Ambient peices have inspired many of my own songs. They have this charm to them that I think is awesome.

snayk responds:

Yeah, it definitely does sound like the original. I wasn't really trying to make it something very different, but I also wasn't attempting to make a carbon copy. I barely listened to the original save for a few pieces of it here and there. I really just wanted to take the main melody/feeling and use it.

What specifically about the EQ needs work? I actually think this song sounds a lot more rounded than my other dance music.

I suppose what I meant by amateur musician was hobbyist musician. I'd love for it to be more, but that's all it is right now. If I want it to go any further I'll need to get a little proactive. Nothing's ever going to happen if I just submit music to NG and wait for someone to stumble upon it and get interested :P

Thanks for the listen and review.

Pretty Intense

I like it. It sounds like it'd work in an epic battle scene or a movie trailer.

I just have one question though. What software do you use to create this?, because my orchestral software is starting to sound pretty dated and I want to look into getting something new.

ProudAardvark responds:

This is Logic with Symphobia, Vienna and a bunch of cinematic percussion hits from SD2 and a few odd EWQL samples as well. If you have any specific questions about the setup, I'm happy to fill you in! Send me a PM.

Damn...

This one is pretty bad ass. Reminds me of those car commercials with the industrial music and glitchy effects.

snayk responds:

Thanks a lot. I love seeing a review for this track :D :D :D

Another BOC-esque

Nice one. This track is slightly depressing but relaxing. Again, you've seemed to achieve a BoC feeling with this track. (It's those interesting synths doing chords with drumloops and vocal tracks)

snayk responds:

Gotta love BOC. Thanks man!

Hey

I think this song would work really well as one of the background songs for an RTS i'm attempting to make. Do you mind if i use it? If my game ends up going really well and I decide to put it out there, I'll be sure to credit you.

Btw, got any other songs like this i should check out for my game?

snayk responds:

I have no problem with you using my music in your game unless you are going to be making any money from it. If you are, hit me up via PM and we can work something out. I'll try to PM you soon with some similar songs anyway.

Glad you enjoyed the track so much! Thanks for the review.

nice...

It's got the L4D melody in parts, the instrument quality was a bit low, but that vocal part at the end sounded pretty cool though.

Try getting better synths, and I suggest keeping the L4D melody to one or two instruments.

denme responds:

alright thx

Nice work.

This song is pretty chill. It reminds me alot of Boards of Canada, how they use soft synth patches in interesting chords while an industrial sounding drumloop goes on in the background. I'll give this a 5 and a Download.

snayk responds:

Cool man. Thanks for the review, score, and download. Glad you like my stuff. Gotta love a BOC comparison.
